| The Pentathlon is the result of one year of research and design work. The first flight was well worth it. Many new design concepts were incorporated that resulted in a plane that requires zero pitch trim in knife edge, snaps cleanly, carves out loop segments with integrated rolls with ease, and stops axial rotations instantly at any speed. The wing design is a bit different from the current trends and contributes to many of its great FAI capabilites. As can be seen in the computer model image, it was designed from the outset to be an interlocking laser cut kit. Also included with the kit are CNC cut foam cores. | This is the one. The ONE and ONLY pattern plane that was designed and refined with function as the goal...not form. It's ultra low weight and neutral stability offer a one of a kind flight envelope that has to be flown to appreciate. The yellow version seen below is powered with a YS110 at a weight of 8-1/2lbs. This model has been flown in FAI and Masters with exceptional results. An electric version is flying at 9lbs. with unbelievable performance using a Plettenburg outrunner. | The Insight is a 2 meter, F3A type model aircraft that is simplistic in design, yet capable of flying the most advanced sequences. The construction is straightforward and light. The first prototype was flown on a YS140sport with a weight of 9-3/4lbs. This aircraft has finished in the top three in Intermediate and Advanced, as well as 12th place in Masters at the US National Championships.
